Almighty God, Who wonderfully created us in your own image and yet more wonderfully restored us through your Son Jesus Christ: grant that, as he came to share in our humanity, so we may share the life of his divinity; who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Baptism: Please pray for Sophie Taylor Young who is to be baptised at S. Benedict’s during the 10am Mass next week.
Sick or in Need: If anybody becomes ill or needs the ministration of the Clergy please let Fr. Derek, Fr John and/or the Churchwardens know as soon as possible. Please note the Sick list has now been amended; if any body wishes to add a name to the list please see Fr Derek and let him know the name and reason.
PCC Minutes: The Minutes of the September PCC have now been ratified and are available on the notice boards of both Churches.

Liturgical/Social Events Leaflet 2012: Enclosed in this week’s Newsletter is a leaflet of Liturgical/Social Events for the coming year. Further events will be put in the Newsletter as and when they are arranged.
Neighbourhood Watch/Northumbria Police: We would like to make you aware there has been a series of Burglaries, where entry has been gained by tampering with door handle surrounds and snapping the barrel of the locks on UPVC doors. Please report any suspicious people or inform us if you notice any locks which have been tampered with.
Dates for your diaries
Standing Committee meeting: This takes place on Wednesday 4th January at 7pm in the Vicarage.
Epiphany: There will be a Sung Mass for Epiphany on Friday 6th January 2012 at S. Benedict’s at 7pm.
PCC Meeting: This takes place on Tuesday 10th January in S. Benedict’s Parish Centre at 7pm.
CTB Meeting: This takes place on Wednesday 11th January in S. Benedict’s Parish Centre at 7:45pm.
CTB Unity Service: This takes place at S. Cuthbert’s, Blyth on Sunday 22nd January at 4pm.
Burn’s Night Supper: Takes place on Friday 27th January in S. Benedict’s
Parish Centre at 7pm. Tickets cost £4. Sign up lists are available at the back of both Churches, please tick whether you would like Haggis or Mince, this is for catering purposes.
